What is Legal
Data Resources
(Manitoba)
Corporation?

The Law Society of Manitoba established Legal Data Resources (Manitoba) Corporation -- LDRC -- as a separate non-profit organization dedicated to providing legal data (through Manitoba OnlineTM and the City of Winnipeg) to the legal profession and to other related parties in order to facilitate legal transactions.

How Can LDRC
Help Me?

A key advantage to LDRC is the convenience it offers. Subscribers have immediate access to government databases seven days a week using their office computers. The service offers an alternative to in-person visits to government offices and is particularly valuable to those who now access government databases daily to perform legal transactions.

What is
Manitoba
OnlineTM?

Manitoba OnlineTM provides subscribers with access to provincial government databases via a direct link using personal computers or terminals in government offices (where available).

Provincial government departments, called "Information Providers", have made the following databases available at this time: Land Titles System, Companies Office System, and the Driver Eligibility Information System.

Manitoba OnlineTM will provide you with access to the following databases of government information:

Land Titles
System

Land Titles System consists of the Electronic Title Registry, Daily Record List, Deposit Index, and Condominium Index for the Winnipeg, Brandon, Portage La Prairie, Morden, Neepawa and Dauphin Land Titles Offices. The fee calculator is provided to calculate fees payable on documents to be registered. Information Provider: The Property Registry.

Companies
Office System

Companies Office System provides current information regarding corporations and business name registrations on record in Manitoba. Company chronology, file numbers, shareholder and director names and addresses are some of the components of this database. Information Provider: The Companies Office.

Driver
Eligibility
Information
System

Driver Eligibility Information System (DEIS) is an electronic information system that permits the user to determine whether or not an individual's driver's license is valid in the Province of Manitoba. License conditions, if present, may also be viewed. Information Provider: Department of Motor Vehicles and Driver Licensing.

The City of
Winnipeg
Electronic
Tax Rolls

In addition to the Province of Manitoba government databases, LDRC is pleased to be able to offer the City of Winnipeg Electronic Tax Rolls to its subscribers. Users of this database can convert civic addresses to legal descriptions and obtain tax information pertaining to properties in the City of Winnipeg.
